Acquires 200 Acres Near Rockdale Facility for AI/HPC Infrastructure

Bitdeer Technologies Group has purchased 200 acres of greenfield land in Milam County, Texas, for a cash consideration of approximately $100 million. This new parcel is situated near the company's existing Rockdale facility, which currently has about 563 MW of interconnected grid capacity, with plans to expand to 742 MW.

The acquisition is intended to support the company's strategy for developing artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (AI/HPC) infrastructure. Bitdeer stated that outright ownership provides the necessary long-term site control to develop and finance such data centers. The company believes its Rockdale site is well-positioned for future power allocations due to its existing large-load interconnection and established transmission infrastructure.

Chief Financial Officer Michael G. Potter noted that acquiring the land reflects a disciplined approach to expanding controlled power land. He also stated that owning the land provides greater long-term certainty for development plans, eliminates lease renewal risk, and offers flexibility to maintain existing Bitcoin mining operations while the new property is developed.

Following this transaction, Bitdeer owns or operates approximately 255 acres and 742 MW of existing and pipeline power capacity in Milam County. The company's total power capacity across its global site portfolio, which includes facilities in the United States, Norway, Bhutan, Canada, Malaysia, and Ethiopia, is approximately 3.0 GW.
