Appoints Colonel (Ret’d) Kevin Leblond as VP Canadian Defence and Security

Draganfly Inc. announced the appointment of Colonel (Ret’d) Kevin Leblond as Vice-President, Canadian Defence and Security. In this new role, Colonel Leblond will lead the company's initiatives within the Canadian military sector.

Colonel Leblond brings 29 years of experience from the Royal Canadian Air Force. His background includes operational roles such as Battle Director at the Combined Air Operations Centre in Qatar, where he directed coalition air operations across the Middle East. This involved managing integrated air defence, counter-UAS systems, and the deployment of UAS/ISR technologies.

Before joining Draganfly, Colonel Leblond was the Director of the NORAD Office in Ottawa. In this capacity, he oversaw NORAD operations, planning, and efforts to modernize continental defence, including airspace surveillance and sensor integration. He also spent four years as Canada's lead defence negotiator at the Canadian Delegation to NATO in Brussels.

Draganfly CEO Cameron Chell stated that Colonel Leblond's experience will significantly enhance the company's ability to support Canada's defence modernization, particularly in unmanned systems and autonomous capabilities. The company did not disclose the effective date of Colonel Leblond's appointment or any changes to its defence strategy this appointment might entail.
